Job Description

Overview SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Soft Count Supervisor, the soft count clerk is responsible for counting the revenues from all departments in the casino, both gaming and nongaming. Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures. Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for collecting funds from slot machines. Responsible for accurately reporting and documenting the amount of funds received through gaming play. Assist in sorting, counting, and recording of currency in the Count Room. Count the revenues from all departments in the casino, both gaming and nongaming. Must maintain the strictest confidentiality of any, and all sensitive information. Complete reported drop totals accurately. Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in money-handling and 10-key calculator preferred. Basic computer skills necessary. Minimum age requirement is 21.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED #
GNLN MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
: Basic math skills
Language Skills:
Must be able to speak and read English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to carry and lift 5 - 25 lbs. Constant bending and stretching
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Working with others/alone amid a noisy environment, climate controlled, confined area. Some smoke, odors.
