Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression and ensuring they feel valued. Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Coordinate seating arrangements and manage waitlists to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction. Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and general restaurant details. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring all materials are stocked and presentable. Assist with guest services by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously. Support the restaurant team by communicating effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Skills Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting, with strong customer service skills. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interactions. Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow efficiently. Basic math skills for handling waitlist calculations and table management. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper guest relations techniques. Ability to work on Saturdays consistently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality in a fast-paced environment.
