They set the tone for a guest's dining experience and punctuate it at the end. The host must be friendly, organized, and willing to find a way to ensure guest satisfaction. Host Duties  Greet and welcome each guest with a great attitude and positive body language  Answer phones with friendliness and care  General knowledge of restaurant: hours of operation, menu, seating options  Understand the dough reservations system and waitlists  Know seating parameters and what you can and cannot accommodate  Find a way to say yes!  Good working knowledge of menu, and general allergen information  Know how to work POS system and take to-go orders, including cash and card transactions  Help bus and reset tables as assigned  Maintain host area cleanliness and organization, including the front entryway doors and windows  Perform opening and closing procedures  Other duties as assigned Host Prerequisites  Hospitality-focused mindset  Enjoys customer interaction and can engage with a friendly demeanor  Eager to grow  Thrive in a fast-paced environment  Solid understanding of service etiquette  Must have transportation  Must have weekend and holiday availability When Anthony Valinoti visited Hot Springs from Brooklyn, he knew he needed to live there and make Arkansas brick oven pizza using hand-made dough and fresh local ingredients. After starting on Park Avenue with six tables, Deluca's recently moved to a larger downtown Hot Springs space, and has now partnered with the Keets of Petit & Keet and Cypress Social, James Beard Award Winning Chef, John Currence, and Mike Waldo of Waldo's Chicken and Beer, to open a second location at the newly revitalized Breckenridge Village in Little Rock. Deluca's is known for its award winning pizza, eclectic atmosphere, exceptional bar program, and awesome service!
