Manage restaurant reservation systems, including booking, confirming, and adjusting reservations to optimize seating arrangements. Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while maintaining excellent phone etiquette. Coordinate with the dining team to ensure smooth table turnover and accurate seating assignments using restaurant table management systems. Maintain a tidy and organized host stand area, ensuring all reservation logs and waitlists are up-to-date. Assist guests with special requests or accommodations, ensuring their needs are met with hospitality and guest relations expertise. Support food safety practices by adhering to cleanliness standards in the host area and handling guest information confidentially. Experience Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred. Strong background in food service or hospitality roles that emphasize customer service excellence. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on clear phone communication and guest interactions. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently. Basic math skills for handling seating calculations and reservation adjustments accurately.
