Camp Host — Camp Avalon Spiritual Nature Retreat, Sedona, AZ About Us Global Community Communications Alliance, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a Camp Host for Camp Avalon Spiritual Nature Retreat in Sedona, Arizona. Camp Avalon offers a peaceful, natural setting for spiritual retreat groups, and we're looking for someone who can help maintain the grounds, welcome guests, and serve at the heart of daily operations on-site. Job Summary The Camp Host holds four major areas of responsibility: site improvement and maintenance, oversight of camp guests and reservations, serving as the on-site public face of the retreat, and communication/reporting to the Camp Manager and Camp Director. This role combines hands-on groundskeeping work with guest relations and light administrative duties. As a spiritual nature retreat, the ideal candidate will have an interest in and openness to spiritual concepts, and will bring a spirit of teamwork, humility, and enthusiasm to the role. Qualifications Self-starter with basic knowledge of landscaping; additional skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanics, and general maintenance repairs are a plus. Experience in customer service and guest relations, with the ability to get along well with people of all ages — children, youth, and adults. Warm, friendly demeanor. First Aid certification a plus. Basic computer and smartphone skills, or willingness to learn, including running payments through a POS system. Bookkeeping experience an asset. Valid driver's license, and capable of operating a range of groundskeeping equipment and vehicles. Comfortable with physical labor — this role requires hands-on groundskeeping and the ability to work hard outdoors. Interest in and openness to spiritual concepts, consistent with the retreat's mission. Responsibilities Site Improvement & Maintenance Ensure camp grounds, buildings, and mechanical systems are clean and properly maintained. Carry out building repairs and maintenance systematically, in coordination with the Camp Manager. Recommend budgeted and non-budgeted repairs/improvements to the Camp Manager. Help maximize the health and safety of camp guests, employees, and volunteers. Complete other duties as identified by the Camp Manager or Camp Director. Oversight of Camp Guests & Reservations Manage bookings and respond to inquiries from retreat groups, collaborating with the Camp Manager on availability. Enforce Camp Avalon's rules and standards of environmental stewardship, safety, and responsible conduct. Collect donations from camping groups and ensure signed camping agreements, insurance proof, and waivers are on file. Welcome camping individuals or groups, lead facility walkthroughs, and provide a spiritual introduction to Camp Avalon's significance and history. Conduct pre-departure walkthroughs and hold groups accountable for agreed-upon clean-up expectations. Ensure post-departure custodial duties are completed before subsequent arrivals. Help address group issues as needed, in coordination with the Camp Manager or Camp Director. Complete other duties as identified by the Camp Manager or Camp Director. On-Site Public Face of the Retreat Serve as the on-site representative of the Camp Manager and Camp Directors, ensuring facility policies are followed. Build goodwill as a public relations presence with current and prospective camp users. Answer camp phone calls and emails, responding to messages and inquiries in a timely manner. Complete other duties as identified by the Camp Manager or Camp Director. Communication & Reporting Provide written reports, including end-of-day task summaries, when requested. Maintain ongoing communication with the Camp Manager and Camp Director regarding facility use and expectations. Schedule:

Full-time or Part-time, with a flexible schedule — weekdays and/or weekends, arranged around guest arrivals and departures.
