Responsibilities Welcome and greet guests with a friendly attitude Manage the waitlist and help seat guests efficiently Answer phone calls and assist guests with questions Provide accurate wait-time estimates Escort guests to their tables and provide menus Explain basic restaurant information and AYCE policies Communicate with servers, managers, and kitchen staff Help keep the host stand, entrance, and dining area clean and organized Assist with table resets and other front-of-house tasks when needed Handle guest questions and concerns in a professional and friendly manner Help create a positive first and last impression for every guest Qualifications Previous restaurant or hosting experience is preferred, but not required Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with customers Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable, punctual, and responsible Able to stay calm and organized in a busy environment Able to multitask and work efficiently Team player with a positive attitude Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods Must be available to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
