Host/Busser Job Description Position Overview The Host/Busser plays a dual role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming dining experience. As a Host, they greet guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating. As a Busser, they maintain cleanliness and reset tables efficiently to support the waitstaff and keep the dining area running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Host Duties Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival Manage waitlists and reservations using POS or booking systems Assign tables based on server rotations and guest preferences Answer phone calls and provide information about the restaurant Monitor dining room flow and communicate with servers and kitchen staff Busser Duties Clear used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables Wipe down and reset tables with clean linens, silverware, and condiments Refill water glasses and assist with beverage service Maintain cleanliness of dining area, floors, and service stations Assist servers with food running and guest requests when needed Skills & Qualifications Friendly and professional demeanor Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift throughout shift Prior experience in hospitality is a plus but not required Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Work Conditions This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting and enjoys both guest interaction and hands-on support.
