Responsibilities Welcome guests with genuine warmth and assist them upon arrival, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they walk through the door Manage restaurant reservation systems and confirm bookings accurately using restaurant table management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort and satisfaction Answer phone inquiries promptly, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general restaurant details with professional phone etiquette Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, updating them as needed throughout their visit Support food service staff by relaying guest needs efficiently and ensuring smooth flow of service operations Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness in the host/hostess area, adhering to health regulations at all times Responsible for taking to-go orders by phone and in person, accurately packaging completed orders, and verifying that all items are included before providing them to the guest.
