The Admissions Clerk performs all job assignments with a positive attitude that supports San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance's mission and vision of saving species worldwide by uniting our expertise in wildlife care and conservation science with our dedication to inspiring passion for nature. The Admissions Clerk encourages people to join and support San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance while providing the highest levels of guest service. This position promotes, sells, and processes various categories of admission tickets, memberships and premium products. This position reports to the Lead Admissions Clerk, Supervisor, or Manager.WHAT YOU WILL DO
Sells admission tickets, membership and premium products. Upsell to increase the total sale and introduce guests to options that might better suit their needs by offering opportunities to upgrade or add-on product. Processes transactions accurately while keeping space neat and clutter-free. Provides guest service by greeting guests, providing directions/general information, and maintains crowd control at admissions plaza. Checks various forms of admission and applicable identification, utilizes variety of tools to maintain proper attendance counts. Checks in tour, school group and special event participants. Troubleshoots membership and ticket concerns. Elevates issues as needed. Responds to guest inquiries, and refers questions/concerns to Guest Services/Duty Manager as appropriate.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR JOB EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
