We've evolved into a large family of restaurants, products, and a non-profit which helps communities near and far. We not only strive to provide great food and hospitality but also to provide an experience that will help our guests understand the culture and cuisine of Burma. Our restaurant group is looking for a passionate individual who strives to provide the highest level of service and hospitality at our Burma Love location. We are hiring a Host/Hostess to join our service team, offering great opportunities for growth and advancement. Roles/Responsibilities 1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced restaurant as a Host/Hostess or Food Runner. Ability to stay calm in high-stress situations. Manage reservations and walk-ins in a fast-paced environment. Place orders for customers through our POS platform via in-person, phone, delivery tablets. Answer phone calls and communicate with professionalism. Resolve customer and courier issues with 3rd party services. Support and work with FOH to provide excellent customer service. Organize and manage the flow of orders coming Re-stock the front of house with silverwares. Stock food packing station with to-go boxes, bags, and containers. Assist the FOH staff with all job functions such as bussing, setting table and silverware, responding to guest's needs, and more. Occasionally check on customers to handle any impromptu requests or issues. Comply with health and safety codes. Follow all instructions from Expeditor regarding food drop-off. Report to and follow instructions of the Shift Lead. Able to multitask. Take out trash, compost, and recycling. Clean bathrooms. Minimum Qualifications Able to acquire a California Food Handler's License (before or within 30 days of hiring) Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
