Host / Hostess Anchora Osteria | Montecito, CA & SY Kitchen Opening 7 days a week Overview Anchora Osteria is preparing to open its doors 7 days a week and 7 lunches in beautiful Montecito, and we're looking for friendly, organized, and hospitality-driven Hosts to join our opening team. As the first and last impression of our restaurant, you'll play an essential role in creating a warm, welcoming experience for every guest. From managing reservations and seating to coordinating with the service team, you'll help ensure every visit begins and ends with exceptional hospitality. Responsibilities Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists while maintaining an organized seating plan Escort guests to their tables and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant Answer phones professionally and assist guests with reservations and general inquiries Coordinate closely with servers and management to ensure smooth service and efficient table flow Monitor the dining room and communicate seating updates with the front-of-house team Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand and entrance area Assist with guest requests and help resolve concerns promptly and professionally Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment assist with to go orders Qualifications Previous host, hostess, or customer service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred Experience with reservation platforms or Toast system is a plus Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences Dependable, positive, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Why Join Anchora Osteria?
