About our Company Ponte Family Estate Winery opened in 2003 and is a California based company operating in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country. We have been farming our vineyards since 1984 and are a real working winery, growing and producing over 20 estate grown varietals within certified sustainable facilities. We are located right next to our Four Diamond, 90 room, boutique hotel Ponte Vineyard Inn. We are surrounded by 300 acres of mature vineyards and views of rolling hills. We are a short drive from most of Southern California and enjoy hosting folks who want a break from city life. Our guests visit us seeking a relaxing day or overnight stay in the country. We have become the benchmark for great service among Temecula wineries. Our associates are dedicated to delighting guests by providing excellent hospitality and serving great wine and food in a beautiful environment.
Summary:
The Host/Hostess will provide a positive warm welcome and a friendly and professional report with guests. To seat guests efficiently by following all restaurant standards of service and protocols to exceed guests' expectations.
Compensation:
$18.00 hourly
Schedule:
9:30am - 6:00pm Weekends + Holidays are a must Hours/Days vary by restaurant needs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner and respond to guests requests promptly. Inquire and verify wine club members, provide clean menus and print accordingly. Record guest information in Open Table including special requests and notations. Seat guests in a timely manner, maintaining a steady pace for servers and kitchen. Assign reservations through Open Table with any special accommodations requested. Anticipate wait times and communicate according to availability and business levels. Answer phones, log voice mails and return voice messages promptly. Process orders and payments in micros for associate lunches, beverages and to go orders. Thank guests for dining with us and invite departing guests to return. Be willing to support fellow associates in a team environment. Complete closing side work in preparation for the next business day. Execute any tasks as requested by management. Follow all Restaurant standards of service to achieve consistent customer satisfaction. Maintain a safe work area and ensure the safety of guests and associates.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have excellent communication and organization skills. Must be able to work varying schedules, includes weekends and holidays. Must have exceptional grooming standards consistent with company guidelines. Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must have the ability to obtain a Riverside County food handler's card.

Perform any other duties as required by your Manager.
