Pay:

In addition to your hourly wage, you will have opportunities to earn: Bonuses for positive customer feedback Commission for guests you personally bring to HD Escape Rooms through approved off-site promotions Additional performance-based incentives There is no set limit to the commission you can earn. Job Overview:

HD Escape Rooms Broomfield is a fully immersive horror-themed escape room experience where guests don't simply play a game — they step into a story. As a Game Host , you will be responsible for creating an entertaining, memorable, and immersive experience from the moment guests arrive until they leave.

Your responsibilities will include:

Checking guests in and welcoming them to HD Escape Rooms Briefing guests before their experience Monitoring games and providing hints when needed Resetting rooms and puzzles for the next group Operating and monitoring game technology Performing routine maintenance and temporary repairs on puzzles, props, and games Maintaining a clean, organized, and guest-ready facility Providing excellent customer service Helping create an exciting and immersive atmosphere for our guests Participating in approved off-site promotional activities

Character-Based Game Hosting:

Unlike a traditional escape room position, HD Escape Rooms Broomfield is a horror-based location where Game Hosts may perform as characters within the experience. Our hosts help bring the world of the attraction to life through character performance, storytelling, improvisation, and interaction with guests .

You may be asked to:

Perform as a character during portions of the guest experience Interact with guests while remaining in character Deliver scripted dialogue and story elements Improvise and react naturally to guest interactions Help establish and maintain the atmosphere of a horror-themed attraction Adjust your performance based on different groups and personalities Acting experience is not required , but applicants should be comfortable performing in front of groups and interacting with strangers. A willingness to be silly, dramatic, theatrical, and occasionally creepy is a major plus. We are looking for people who can have fun with the role while still providing excellent customer service.

Training:

All Game Hosts will complete a training period before working their first solo shift.

Training will include:

Learning all escape room puzzles and solutions Learning game systems and technology Learning room resets Learning safety and emergency procedures Learning character roles and story elements Practicing scripted dialogue and guest interactions Learning appropriate hinting techniques Learning facility procedures and customer service standards Attention to detail and strong note-taking skills are a major plus. Our Game Hosts must be able to learn and memorize the puzzles, procedures, story elements, and character information necessary to operate their assigned experiences before working independently.

Previous experience in acting, theater, haunted attractions, escape rooms, customer service, improv, hospitality, or entertainment is helpful, but not required . This position can be an excellent opportunity for students. Because escape room groups are typically inside their experiences for an extended period of time, there can be periods between guest interactions where hosts have downtime. When business operations allow, employees may use portions of this downtime for homework, studying, or school projects while remaining available for guests and job responsibilities.
