JOB TITLE
Aquatics Birthday Host FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt General Statement of Duties:
Responsible for assisting in all pool birthday activities.
Supervision Received:
Works under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Manager, Assistant Aquatics Manager and Aquatics Assistants.
Supervision Exercised:
None.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Examples of Duties:
The following examples of duties are intended to be illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive. Set up party room prior to each event and cleans-up after each event. Works with parents involved in pool parties to ensure all party activities both in water and on deck are conducted safely, professionally and with positive attitude. Follows all aquatics department policies and procedures. Organizes and participates in in-water activities with participants of the party. Coordinates the serving of food, drink and any other miscellaneous activities conducted in pool party room. Cooperates with other aquatics staff members in coordinating pool space, program set-ups and equipment use. Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical and Environmental Standards:
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a busy aquatics environment where noise and interruptions prevail. Work will also be performed in different types of conditions including, but not limited to, heat, sun, humidity, rain, cold, snow and wind. Must be able to frequently sit, walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, reach and lift, push or pull and get in the water. Manual dexterity is needed to perform the functions of this position. The ability to talk and hear through face-to-face communication is needed. Vision requirements include near and far acuity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Thorough understanding of all pool rules and regulations governing the aquatics department. Ability to communicate with patrons and staff of all ages in a polite and courteous manner. Must be at least 15 years old. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Education:
Completion of one year of high school is desired.
Experience:
Prior customer service experience desired.
