Job Description

Our summer Guest Services Hosts are information gurus and concierge extraordinaries. Winter hosts are advocates for each guest's experience, tasked with building customers for life. Hosts proactively engage guests in sharing dining recommendations, information and instructions on activities in the area, answering guests' questions on the bike park and canopy tours, and much more. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Seek out and engage each guest in a helpful, friendly manner; be proactive with providing assistance of all kinds. Escort guests across/around plazas; assist them to their destination. Use good judgment in all situations. Willingness and ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions. Stay current and informed in all respects. Monitor updates from the Merchants, Town of Mountain Village, Town of Telluride, San Miguel County, Telluride Ski and Golf and the USFS. Provide information and guidance in helping to fulfill the guest's experience (i.e. ask the right questions to answer the questions the guests isn't asking. Create an experience the guest wants, not necessarily what you'd want to do on vacation). Make a count of each guest question/interaction. Alert guests to trail, road, lift, and Gondola closures and inform them of alternate options. Monitor radio communication and respond to issues when needed. Resolve conflict and handle difficult situations, turning them into positive outcomes. Develop relationships and maintain proper communication with merchants, Gondola Operations and various other service outlets. Promote TSG's Summer Safety Program with our guests, fostering a safer mountain experience. Responsible for collection and distribution of lost & found items. Monitor supplies and notify manager when in need of replenishment. Distribute guest service amenities such as maps, sunscreen, and water. Create and maintain fun, engaging signs to be displayed at each location. Adhere to all TSG policies and procedures listed in the employee handbook. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Customer service background. Knowledge of Telluride region summer activities preferred. Passion for providing quality customer service and taking it to the highest level. Demonstrated ability to work independently, take direction and execute specific responsibilities with precision. Demonstrated experience handling difficult situations and turning them into positive outcome. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Full time and part time opportunities available.
