Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional guest relations. Manage restaurant reservations using OpenTable, ensuring accurate seating arrangements. Coordinate with the service team to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times through effective table management. Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant. Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests. Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items or restaurant policies, demonstrating excellent communication skills. Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess station. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a similar food service role within a restaurant environment. Strong customer service and guest relations skills, with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as OpenTable and Toast. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction. Basic math skills for handling reservations and seating calculations Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently. Knowledge of food safety procedures and hospitality standards to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
