Duties Manage restaurant reservation systems to efficiently schedule and confirm guest bookings with Toast POS Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and guiding them to their tables promptly. Coordinate seating arrangements, balancing guest preferences with table availability to optimize flow and minimize wait times. Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant, reservations, and wait times while practicing proper phone etiquette. Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their status or estimated wait times. Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health regulations in the host area. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth guest flow and exceptional guest relations throughout service hours. Qualifications Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is highly preferred, demonstrating strong guest service skills. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Toast POS is essential. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction, are required to engage guests confidently. Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow efficiently. Basic math skills for handling waitlist calculations and table management tasks accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to uphold a clean and welcoming environment. Experience with Toast POS system is advantageous for seamless operation during busy hours.
