Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, offering assistance and guiding them to their tables or reservations. Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, addressing guest inquiries. Maintain organized waitlists and seating charts to optimize table turnover and guest flow. Process transactions efficiently at the cashier station using the Toast POS systems, ensuring accuracy in billing and payments. Uphold food safety standards by handling cash and credit card transactions securely and responsibly. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously, fostering a hospitable environment. Experience Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is highly preferred. Food service experience that demonstrates familiarity with restaurant operations and guest interactions. Proficiency with the Toast POS system is preferred Strong communication skills, including phone communication and customer service expertise. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Organizational skills to manage waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
