We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Host - Fine Dining - Garden Room to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team! We are seeking friendly and outgoing individuals with Fine Dining experience to join our team as a Host. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and outside visitors, providing them with a warm welcome and ensuring their dining experience starts off on a positive note. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Reporting to the outlet General Manager the restaurant, you will support and provide excellent service at our new fine dining signature restaurant on our iconic resort. This high-volume requires a passion for personalized service and guest engagement.Responsibilities:
Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor upon arrival Escort guests to their tables and provide menus Assist in seating Members and guests according to seating chart or guest preferences Manage waitlist during peak hours and provide accurate wait time estimates Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and efficiency Adhere to departmental policies and procedures Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-the-house employees Practice effective listening: (seek to understand) Perform related duties as required Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property Adhere to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy Be courteous to all guests and coworkers Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook Maintain complete knowledge of all outlet offerings and resort information. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift. Ability to frequently walk throughout the restaurant, including the host stand, dining areas, service areas, and other operational areas. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and occasionally kneel as needed to perform job duties. Ability to carry and move menus, guest materials, seating charts, supplies, and other items weighing up to 25 pounds . Ability to safely navigate crowded dining areas and maintain awareness of guests, team members, furniture, and service equipment. Ability to use a computer, tablet, telephone, reservation system, and other standard front-of-house equipment. Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements associated with writing, computer use, handling menus, and operating reservation systems. Ability to maintain visual and auditory attention to monitor guest arrivals, reservations, seating availability, and communications from team members. Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members in person and by telephone. Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment and remain on their feet during periods of high guest volume. Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.Qualifications:
