It's the ultimate way to work and travel all in one. The Restaurant Host/ess' primary responsibility is to oversee restaurant reservations, administrative tasks, Residents' and Guests' welcome at entrance of restaurants while managing the flow of reservations in the restaurant. This role also assists with other administrative tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the In-Residence Dining (IRD) operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Restaurant Operations Take reservations from Residents and Guests and enter into the Avenista system while taking note of special requests and other instructions Manage the seating of Residents and Guests including, but not limited to, escorting Residents and Guests to their table, presenting the menus and maintaining a waiting list of Marina platform dining and informing the Residents and Guests of the wait time Prepare the floor plan for the evening for all Restaurants and communicate any large parties table set up to Maitre' D Enforce discreetly the dress code policy. Order all F&B items, stationary and supplies through MMS when needed Complete all opening and closing duties; properly set up the assigned station and restock for each meal period and for the expected levels of business Complete all buffet tags in a timely manner. Complete the monthly inventories of various Resident and Guest used equipment such as napkin chains, reading glasses and ladies' shawls. Resident and Guest Services Interact and engage with Residents and Guests to obtain feedback about their dining experience Exceed Resident and Guest expectations in every aspect of personalized service in accordance with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards and participate in trainings as required Communicate Resident and Guest special requests, dietary requirements, anniversaries and birthdays to Maitre' D and Senior Maitre' D General Assist the Maitre' D with administrative tasks as required Actively support the goals and objectives for the department and adhere to all new policies and company initiatives as assigned Maintain accurate Time & Attendance Records for each time period worked Ensure all areas are maintained in accordance with Public Health, Safety Management System (SMS) and Safety & Environmental regulations; adhering to Company Policies and procedures as appropriate to the position Execute safety duties as per the Emergency Plan and Station Bill Assist with Ship tours, Zodiac landings, Marina days, Expeditions, and other activities when required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Able to read, write and speak fluently in English Diploma in Hotel Management is preferred Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience on a luxury cruise ship, private country club or similar, luxury hotel or resort One additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish) preferred Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required Outgoing personality and good sense of humour to converse with Residents and Guests Good knowledge of inventory management systems, Fidelio and computerized reservation systems Strong administrative and organizational skills

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

Ability to work seven (7) days a week for an extended period, including day or night, weekends and holidays. While performing the essential functions of this job, all Crew are required to stand, walk long distances on the Ship and may include the repetitive motion of bending, climbing, going up and down the stairs and lifting up to 23 kilograms. All Team members must be physically able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills. All vessel positions require full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Work within different temperature changes
