In this energetic role, you will create a warm, inviting atmosphere by managing guest arrivals, coordinating reservations, and ensuring seamless seating arrangements. Duties Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, establishing a positive first impression Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow and reduce wait times Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant policies Assist guests with seating arrangements, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all patrons Support food service staff by communicating guest needs efficiently and maintaining smooth guest relations Uphold food safety standards by following proper hygiene and cleanliness protocols in the host station Experience Prior experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude are essential Strong communication skills, including clear phone communication and effective guest interaction, are vital to success in this role Basic math skills are necessary for managing reservations, tables, and guest billing when needed Previous food service experience enhances your ability to understand restaurant operations and guest expectations Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest inquiries simultaneously Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest services best practices, and food safety regulations will support your success in creating memorable guest experiences
