YOUR ROLE
The Attractions Operations Host is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Christmas Carousel while delivering outstanding Guest service. This role is crucial in providing a memorable holiday experience for Guests of all ages by upholding safety standards, including height checks, managing Guest interactions, and maintaining the carousel's operational readiness. The ideal candidate is friendly, safety-conscious, and attentive to Guest needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
Welcome Guests with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive, festive atmosphere at the Christmas Carousel. Provide clear instructions and safety guidelines to Guests, particularly to young riders and their guardians. Assist all Guests with seating and exiting the carousel safely.
Height and Safety Checks:
Conduct height checks for all Guests to ensure they meet the required height restrictions for the Christmas Carousel. Politely enforce safety rules regarding height and rider eligibility, explaining alternate options to Guests who do not meet the height requirements. Ensure Guests are securely and correctly seated in the proper riding position prior to starting the ride.
Carousel Operations:
Operate the Christmas Carousel following all safety and operational protocols. Monitor Guest behavior during the ride to ensure compliance with safety rules. Assist with loading and unloading the carousel, ensuring a smooth and timely ride experience. Assist with grouping guests and ticket scanning as needed.
Safety & Compliance:
Conduct routine checks on the carousel's mechanical systems and safety features, reporting any issues to the maintenance team. Follow and enforce all operational and safety procedures, including height and weight restrictions. Respond quickly to any Guest concerns or emergencies, following established protocols to ensure Guest safety.
Queue & Guest Flow Management:
Manage the Guest queue to ensure smooth, orderly loading and unloading of the carousel. Communicate estimated wait times and provide assistance to Guests when necessary. Ensure the surrounding area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Communication & Collaboration:
Coordinate with the Guest Experience Manager and maintenance teams to address any mechanical issues promptly. Participate in team meetings to stay updated on operational changes or Guest service initiatives. Communicate effectively with fellow team members to ensure consistent service standards and carousel uptime.

Prior experience in Guest service, theme park operations, or ride operation is a plus. Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong communication skills to engage with Guests of all ages. Ability to operate ride machinery safely and follow operational guidelines with attention to detail. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with the manual tasks of loading and unloading Guests. Ability to perform height checks and enforce ride safety requirements in a polite and professional manner. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Preferred Experience:
Experience operating family-friendly rides or attractions, particularly carousels or similar slow-moving rides. Familiarity with safety and ride operation procedures in a theme park or entertainment setting.
COMPENSATION
Seasonal hourly role, eligible for overtime.
Hourly Rate:
Starting $18.50/hr (OT Eligible) Access to on property cafeteria for meals at a reduced rate
