Job:
The Mexican Host is responsible for creating a fine dining experience by delivering the best first impression that a guest will experience, work with restaurant team to manage reservations, and uphold brand standards throughout the restaurant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of The Mexican Team Member include, but are not limited to: Greet all guests as they arrive and leave the restaurant with an upbeat, friendly manner Greets guests promptly and provides timely seating of guests by maintaining accurate waitlists, while maximizing seating capacity. Manage large crowds in a professional manner and is able to resolve challenging service situations diplomatically Answer phone calls in a quick and professional manner, effectively answering guest questions and ensuring reservations are correct Work with the management team to ensure maximum seating capacity and still ensuring the most welcoming experience possible Hosts must demonstrate genuine hospitality by engaging in polite conversation with guests and being attentive to any special requests Hosts must work in a fast-paced, service driven atmosphere, and be comfortable staying calm under high-energy pressure Assists restaurant staff as needed in providing an outstanding dining experience Maintains neat and organized work areas Accomplished all opening, running and end of shift side work; including ensuring work areas are stocked and ready for the next shift. Must attend and successfully complete orientation, and Team Member training program prior to working a shift. Must agree and abide all company policies and procedures as outlined.
Requirements:
1-2 years of host experience in an upscale dining environment Flexible schedule with weekend, holidays, and evening availability Teamwork oriented, fun, energetic, friendly and passionate Must complete and maintain required training in compliance with local and state regulations, such as food and/or alcohol service certifications. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are the representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time. Flexible schedule with weekend and evening availability. Teamwork oriented, fun, energetic, friendly and passionate.
