Host / Hostess - New Mount Dora Location Rome's Flavours is hiring professional Hosts and Hostesses for our new Mount Dora location. We are looking for friendly, polished, reliable, and highly professional individuals to join our team and help create an exceptional first impression for every guest. The Host/Hostess is an essential part of the guest experience and is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating, maintaining an organized flow of the dining room, and supporting the service team when needed. This position is ideal for someone who is naturally outgoing, attentive, organized, and comfortable interacting with both local guests and visitors in a professional restaurant environment. Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival Manage reservations, walk-ins, and the restaurant waiting list Coordinate seating and table rotation efficiently with Servers and Management Answer guest questions and provide general information about the restaurant Maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming host area Communicate clearly with Servers and Management regarding reservations, special requests, and table availability Assist the service team with basic support tasks when necessary Monitor the flow of the dining room and help ensure a smooth guest experience Maintain a professional demeanor at all times Complete all assigned duties efficiently and promptly Follow restaurant policies, procedures, uniform, and grooming standards Promptly notify Management of any guest concerns or operational issues Requirements Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred Strong work ethic, reliability, and accountability Weekend availability required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Fluent English Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Ability to coordinate effectively with Servers and Management Professional appearance and excellent grooming standards Ability to follow instructions and restaurant procedures High School Diploma or equivalent required Must meet all applicable legal requirements for the position Benefits Tips Flexible scheduling Paid training Employee discounts Food discounts Discounts with participating businesses in the area Friendly and professional work environment Restaurant closed on select major holidays Availability Candidates must be available to work weekends.
