Job Description
At Stone House Neighborhood Grill, our mission is "to create a genuine connection with our neighbors while providing our community with quality food, and exceptional service". In order to achieve success, it is crucial that we employ individuals who believe in our mission and have a strong desire to provide guests with the best experience by becoming a master at their job responsibilities and customer service. Job Summary Hosts/Hostesses are responsible for providing customer assistance services throughout the restaurant and properly utilize any and all restaurant equipment that is used to conduct monetary transactions with customers. Greets and properly acknowledges all guests as they enter and exit the restaurant. Ensures accurate completion of all monetary transactions. Assists customers who call or dine in by providing accurate restaurant information. Provides menu information and suggestions to customers whenever necessary. Properly setup, clean, and sanitize tables according to restaurant standard. Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes work stations. Workplace Requirements Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Well-organized with ability to take and place food orders accurately. Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers. Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative guests. Ability to effectively operate point-of-sale systems. Must be 18 years of age at the time of hire and eligible to work in the United States. Availability to work morning, weekend and evening shifts. Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from the restaurant. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be able to complete orders quickly and accurately using effective communication skills. Ability to push, pull, and carry items that can be between 10-30 pounds.
