Job Description
Job Overview We're seeking an energetic, welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team! As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll set a warm, inviting tone from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will keep seating, reservations, and the overall guest experience running smoothly. This is a paid position and a great opportunity to be at the heart of our restaurant's hospitality. Responsibilities Greet guests promptly with a friendly, positive attitude, setting the tone for their visit Manage reservations and waitlists using our reservation management system, ensuring accurate seating plans Coordinate seating to optimize table utilization while keeping guests comfortable Answer phone calls professionally, providing wait time, reservation, and menu information with excellent phone etiquette Track seating and reservation status through our table management system Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, ensuring a welcoming environment Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to keep service flowing smoothly Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at the host station Assist with guest check-ins and reservations via POS systems (Aloha, Micros) as needed Qualifications Experience as a host/hostess in a busy restaurant or food service setting preferred, but not required — we're happy to train the right candidate Familiarity with reservation and table management systems preferred Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette Basic math skills for handling waitlists and billing support if needed Experience with POS systems (Aloha, Micros) is a plus Hotel or hospitality experience is a plus but not required Why Join Us Bring your positive energy and organizational talent to a role where you're at the heart of the guest experience.
