We are expanding our hours to include lunch service Monday through Thursday, in addition to Sunday brunch and dinner service. Candidates must have flexible availability for daytime and evening shifts. The ideal candidate is warm, professional, organized, and confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create an exceptional guest experience from arrival through departure. Responsibilities Warmly welcome guests and create a positive first and last impression Manage reservations, guest profiles, table assignments, and the waitlist using Resy Answer phone calls and assist guests with reservation-related questions Monitor and respond to guest emails professionally, accurately, and promptly Assist guests by phone and email with reservations, special requests, allergies, celebrations, large parties, and reservation changes Seat guests efficiently while maintaining proper pacing and maximizing available tables Coordinate closely with the Maître d', managers, servers, and other Front-of-House team members Communicate important guest information clearly and accurately to management and the service team Monitor table status and help maintain smooth service and timely table turns Respond professionally to guest concerns and involve management when appropriate Anticipate the needs of guests and fellow team members Maintain a clean, organized, and professional host stand Follow all restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards Skills & Requirements Minimum of two years of host or restaurant experience in a high-volume, upscale, or fine-dining environment Previous experience using Resy, OpenTable, or a similar reservation platform strongly preferred Previous experience managing guest correspondence and writing professional emails Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and hospitality skills Strong grammar, professional tone, and attention to detail when communicating by email Warm, confident, and professional demeanor Ability to remain calm, composed, and attentive during busy services Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills Comfortable receiving constructive feedback and performance coaching Reliable, punctual, and committed to working as part of a team Enthusiasm for Malka's food, brand, culture, and guest experience Knowledge of kosher dining practices is preferred but not required Availability for Monday-Thursday lunch service, Sunday brunch, and evening shift Compensation and Benefits Estimated total hourly compensation of $22-$28, including base pay and tip-pool participation.
