The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact, responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of hospitality, and the ability to handle guest inquiries with professionalism. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory. The Host/Host will play a key role in guest relations and maintaining smooth restaurant operations. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently Handle reservations and waitlist management Provide menus and answer initial questions about the restaurant offerings Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely seating and service Maintain a clean and organized host stand area Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience Manage phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide accurate information about the restaurant Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously Assist in coordinating guest flow during busy hours to optimize seating efficiency Skills Prior experience as a Host/Host or in food service is preferred Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Familiarity with OpenTable is preferred Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest services best practices Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills Experience in restaurant operations, serving, or hotel guest services is a plus Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure This position offers an engaging work environment where hospitality and guest satisfaction are prioritized.
