Full Job Description Host/Host Duties:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
• Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas
• Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
• Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
• Manage reservations and waitlist, ensuring accurate and timely seating
• Answer phone calls and provide information to callers in a professional manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with patience and professionalism

Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting
• Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of food service and guest relations principles
