Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression. Operate POS systems to process customer payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, or digital transactions. Maintain organized table management using restaurant table management systems to optimize seating capacity and reduce wait times. Communicate effectively with guests via phone for order or special requests. Support food service staff by coordinating seating and ensuring timely guest flow. Handle basic math calculations for billing purposes with accuracy. Uphold high standards of customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host station. Skills Prior experience as a restaurant cashier is required, with proficiency in POS systems. Strong communication skills for phone interactions and guest engagement. Experience in host/hostess roles within a restaurant setting is preferred. Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems. Basic math skills for processing payments and bills accurately. Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating, and guest flow efficiently. Food service experience is advantageous to understand restaurant operations better.
