Duties Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and provide excellent customer service from the moment they arrive to set the tone for their entire visit. Manage restaurant reservations and walk-ins efficiently using Shift4 Skytab POS and reservation system, ensuring optimal seating arrangements. Coordinate guest seating by maintaining organized waitlists and communicating wait times clearly via phone and in person. Communicate table status, waitlist timing, and section pacing clearly with the floor team. Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while practicing proper phone etiquette. Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus and reservation logs. Support food service staff by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating to enhance overall guest relations. Support the team during transitions — bussing, resetting tables, and flagging service needs as needed Uphold food safety standards and adhere to all health regulations while handling guest interactions and restaurant operations. Uphold SOS standards for hospitality, presentation, and guest communication in every interaction Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a food service environment is highly preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Shift4 is advantageous. Basic math skills for managing waitlists, reservations, and POS transactions accurately. Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of hospitality standards including guest relations, phone etiquette, food safety practices, and restaurant table management systems.
Pay:
$8.00 - $12.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
