Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that every guest has a positive dining experience. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating capacity. Take customer orders accurately using the POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, maintaining accuracy in the POS system. Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and dining spaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Uphold food service standards while adhering to health and safety regulations. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally with guests and team members. Demonstrated phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest inquiries is essential. Requirements 1. Must be 18 years old and above. 2. Once passed training, must be able to retrieve the DeKalb County Alcohol Permit. 3. Must have flexibility to work various shifts and able to work Friday and Saturday night shifts. The Morning shift starts from 11:45 am to 4:30 pm, and the night shift starts from 4 pm to 11 pm.
