Summary of Position:
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests, by welcoming and warmly greeting guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes. Smile is a part of your uniform.
Accountability:
Be pleasant, warm and smile when you interact with guests face-to-face and over the phone. Provide a warm, welcoming greeting to all guests Take accurate reservation information Provide alternative seating arrangements when needed
Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote, work and acts in accordance with Seed Hospitality Group Core Purpose and Core Value, and company policies as described in the employee handbook. Maintain good personal hygiene, presentable, and well groomed. Always dress professionally (business casual) when representing the company at the host stand. Follow the FOH--Host/Hostess's opening and closing checklists. Ensure host stand and the front entrance area are cleaned, and neat before and during the service hours. Help to train new staff and ensure standards of hospitality are being met. Warmly and graciously greet all guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas. Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible. Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server's name upon seating. Answer the phone. Follow the instruction on the training checklist. Record accurate information when receiving information by phone. Understand and use Open Table effectively. Understand seating procedure and be able to assign seats properly. Receive and record guests' dining reservations. Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup. Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and clean restrooms when necessary. Attends all daily lineups and brings suggestions for improvement. Arrive on time or before.
