Host/Hostess Job Description:

Fuego Tortilla is looking for a friendly and experienced Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in setting the tone for the dining experience at Fuego Tortilla.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an inviting and pleasant experience. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding reservations, menu items, and special events. Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring that menus and promotional materials are up to date. Collaborate with the server team to ensure timely and efficient service. Assist with managing waitlists during busy periods and communicate wait times to guests. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs and concerns promptly and professionally. Support the restaurant staff in maintaining a positive and welcoming dining environment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer service role is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with guests. Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills. Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent service. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
