Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. Your friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an outstanding customer experience, fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction and loyalty. Responsibilities Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly attitude and assist with seating arrangements. Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow. Maintain a clean and organized host station, ensuring all waiting areas are welcoming and tidy. Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times, menu suggestions, and special requests via phone or in person. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow. Handle guest inquiries professionally, providing accurate information about the restaurant's offerings and policies. Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to enhance overall satisfaction. Requirements Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently. Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to create a welcoming atmosphere. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in busy settings. Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with guest services standards.
