The Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming experience for all guests at

SO HALAL SOULFOOD.

This role includes greeting customers, taking accurate orders, handling payments, and ensuring excellent customer service. The hostess represents the brand by providing friendly, professional service and helping maintain a clean and organized front counter area. Job Responsibilities Customer Service Greet every customer with a positive attitude Provide friendly and professional service Answer menu questions Help customers choose menu items Ensure customers feel welcomed and appreciated Order Taking Take accurate dine-in and take-out orders Enter orders into the register (POS system) Confirm orders before sending to kitchen Handle special requests correctly Cleanliness & Organization Keep front counter clean and organized Restock napkins, utensils, and supplies Maintain clean dining area when needed Teamwork Communicate clearly with kitchen staff Assist team during busy periods Help maintain a positive work environment Requirements Friendly and professional attitude Good communication skills Basic math skills Ability to multitask Reliable and punctual Ability to stand for long periods
