Your role is vital in managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth communication between guests and staff. Responsibilities Greet guests with enthusiasm and professionalism upon arrival, providing a positive first impression. Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using OpenTable. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize service flow and guest satisfaction, considering special requests and party sizes. Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, handling inquiries about reservations, wait times, and general information. Maintain organized waitlists and communicate estimated wait times clearly to guests. Assist with guest services by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously. Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to hygiene protocols in the host area. Experience Previous host or hostess experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle phone communication professionally. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently. Experience in food service or restaurant environments that emphasizes customer service excellence.
