Role:
The Host/Hostess serves as the first point of contact for guests, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience. The Host/Hostess coordinates with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth communication and timely service delivery. Ultimately, the Host/Hostess contributes significantly to guest satisfaction and the overall success of the food and beverage establishment.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in food and beverage or guest service roles. Proficiency in using Point-Of-Sale systems. Strong oral communication skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy weights safely.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Host/Hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Knowledge of multiple languages to assist diverse guests. Certification in customer service or hospitality. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in food service.Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage reservations and walk-in guest seating using the Point-Of-Sale system to maintain an organized flow. Communicate effectively with guests and staff to coordinate seating arrangements and special requests. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host station and dining area. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special needs with professionalism and problem-solving skills. Assist with moving and lifting objects as needed to prepare the dining area for service.Skills:
