This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, creating a great guest experience, and being part of events. Event Hosts will help ensure West48 events run smoothly from setup through the end of the event. This is a flexible, part-time position with the opportunity to work weekday evenings and weekends, based on the event schedule. Key Responsibilities Arrive prior to events to help prepare and set up the space Welcome clients and guests and provide excellent customer service Help ensure the event space stays clean, organized, and ready throughout the event Assist with basic AV and technology setup as needed Help with food, beverage, and other event needs Monitor the space and assist with questions or requests from clients and guests Communicate with the West48 team regarding any event needs or issues Help with event breakdown and resetting the space at the conclusion of events Assist with opening and closing the space Provide a friendly, professional presence and help create a positive experience for every West48 client Assist with our duties as needed Qualifications Must be available for weekday evenings, generally starting around 3:30 p.m. through 10 p.m., as well as weekends Reliable and dependable Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with clients and guests Strong communication and customer service skills Able to work independently and take initiative Comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment Able to lift/move event supplies and assist with setup and breakdown Previous hospitality, event, restaurant, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
