At S2 Select, our Host welcomes guests, manages the flow of the dining room, and helps the team deliver attentive service even when the restaurant is busy. We're opening a new downtown Chicago location and looking for someone with experience in a high-volume restaurant who can make guests feel welcome while keeping seating organized and service moving. What you'll do Greet guests warmly, manage the waitlist, and provide accurate wait time estimates. Coordinate seating and table rotation with servers and managers. Escort guests to their tables and answer questions about the restaurant. Monitor table availability and communicate changes to the service team. Answer calls and assist with reservations and guest inquiries, as applicable. Keep the entrance and host stand clean, organized, and ready for service. Handle routine guest concerns with care and involve a manager when needed. What we're looking for At least one year of experience in a high-volume restaurant , preferably as a host. Strong communication skills and the ability to stay composed when several things need your attention at once. Good judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in guest service. Comfort using a waitlist or reservation system, or the ability to learn one quickly. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
