Host / Hostess / Carry Out Specialist Juniper | Highwood, IL Juniper is seeking a warm, polished, and organized Host / Hostess / Carry Out Specialist to join our front-of-house team. Our hosts are the first and last impression of the restaurant and play an important role in creating a smooth, welcoming guest experience. We are looking for someone who is confident communicating with guests, stays composed in a busy environment, and understands that great hospitality starts at the front door. Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome all guests Communicate accurate wait times and reservation information Coordinate closely with managers and service staff Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist with reservation inquiries & Carry Out Orders - We are looking for a full time Carry Out Specialist Confirm reservations and assist with special requests when appropriate Maintain an organized, clean, and professional host stand and entrance Keep menus clean, organized, and ready for service Assist with restroom and entry-area checks throughout the evening Communicate guest notes, celebrations, allergies, and special circumstances to the appropriate team members Maintain a calm, friendly demeanor during high-volume services Thank guests as they leave and help ensure a positive final impression What We're Looking For Friendly, professional, and confident communication Strong organization and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant environment Dependability and punctuality Comfortable communicating with both guests and team members Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate OpenTable experience is a plus Availability We are currently looking for candidates with strong evening and weekend availability . For part-time candidates, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is a must , and applicants should be able to consistently commit to their agreed-upon schedule. Typical host shifts are approximately 4:00 PM-10:00 PM , depending on business levels.
