JOB SUMMARY
Join our team if you have previous experience in restaurant hosting, particularly in a vibrant steakhouse or upscale dining atmosphere. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences! Welcomes guests, seat them at tables or lounges, and helps to ensure quality of ability and service.
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
Responsible for key security by properly adhering to key checkout procedures. Warmly greet and acknowledge all guests upon arrival, using their first and/or last name when appropriate to provide a personalized experience. Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating while maintaining an efficient flow of the dining room. Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and ensure they are comfortably seated. Provide guests with accurate information regarding menu offerings, daily specials, promotions, and restaurant amenities. Coordinate with managers, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and exceptional guest service. Monitor table availability and communicate seating updates to maximize dining room efficiency. Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and special requests, escalating issues to management when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area at all times. Thank guests sincerely as they depart and invite them to return, ensuring a memorable first and last impression. Completes all other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
High School diploma or equivalent required. Must possess a positive attitude and demonstrate effective teamwork skills. Must be 18 years of age or older Previous restaurant hosting experience is preferably in a steakhouse or fine dining setting; cash handling experience is preferred. Neat and clean appearance. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Must be punctual, have good work ethics, and be a reliable person with a can-do positive attitude. Must be flexible with schedule to work holidays and weekends.
ADDITONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. The position requires 90% standing and 10% walking. Requires some pushing and twisting. Requires some bending, kneeling, climbing, stooping, and frequent reaching above and below shoulders. Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke. Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues. Fast-paced environment involving constant public contact. Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for long periods of time.
