Job Description Position Summary:
This position is responsible for greeting and seating residents and guests in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Dining Services Manager and/or other staff person assigned by the Director of Dining Services.Essential Functions:
Seat and greet residents with a friendly and welcoming attitude in a timely manner in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Assist wait staff and bussers in serving, bussing and resetting tables.- Report any resident concerns to the Dining Services Manger immediately.
- Complete all side work as assigned.
- Attend all training in-service seminars and pre-shift meetings.
- Assist in special events.
- Perform all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and coworkers.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
Level of Formal Education:
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Area of Study:
General/Managerial/Food Service Years of Experience:
General/Managerial/Food Service Type of Experience:
Previous food service experience.Special Certifications:
Obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.Language Skills:
Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.Technical Competencies:
Entry-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, includingExcel, and Word Skills and Ability:
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
