Job Description
Hitz Pub & Eatery is looking for friendly, outgoing, and reliable Hosts to create a welcoming first impression for every guest. Hosts greet and seat guests, manage dining room flow, answer phones, assist with takeout orders, and support the front-of-house team in delivering an excellent guest experience. Responsibilities Greet every guest promptly and warmly upon arrival Manage the waitlist and seating rotation efficiently Seat guests according to server sections and restaurant flow Provide accurate wait-time estimates during busy periods Answer incoming phone calls in a friendly and professional manner Assist guests with reservations, general questions, and menu information Help manage and organize takeout and pickup orders Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, Managers, and Kitchen staff Assist with clearing, resetting, and preparing tables when needed Monitor the dining room and communicate seating needs to the management team Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return Follow all restaurant policies, food safety standards, and guest service procedures Qualifications Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred Friendly, professional, and welcoming personality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask and prioritize during busy periods Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Reliable, punctual, and professional Comfortable answering phones and interacting with guests Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
