Description

Responsibilities Under limited supervision and minimal technical guidance, positions material to be welded and applies hand-eye coordination to achieve the desired weld

Emphasis is on ability to perform TIG welding of thin gauge stainless steel sheet and tubing

Position, align, fit, and weld parts by following blueprints and layout specifications Inspects completed items for quality assurance

Skills and Specifications Ability to use welding techniques such as arc welding using a wire feeder

Able to follow blueprints and other drawings

Able to read a tape measure

TIG welding experience with stainless steel sheet (18 -20 gauge) and tubing(.035-.062t)

High School Diploma

Vocational Schooling

Must pass TIG welding practical test

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

Must be able to work in an area that is not climate controlled in the summer months

Must be able to bend, stoop and reach on occasional basis

$18-22

Salary Description

$18.00 to $22.00 per hour
