Hosts Prairie Street Brewing Co. is looking for friendly, organized, and dependable Hosts to join our front-of-house team. The Host is the first and last point of contact for many of our guests and plays an important role in managing the overall flow of the restaurant. We are looking for someone who can provide a warm welcome, stay organized during busy services, and communicate confidently with both guests and the restaurant team. What You'll Be Responsible For Greeting every guest with a friendly, welcoming, and professional attitude Managing the restaurant waitlist and providing accurate wait-time expectations Seating guests efficiently while maintaining a fair rotation between servers Managing the pace and flow of seating throughout service Answering incoming phone calls and assisting guests with general questions Taking, entering, organizing, and distributing to-go orders Providing menus and helping guests navigate the restaurant when needed Communicating clearly with servers, managers, and other front-of-house staff Keeping the host stand and entrance area clean, organized, and guest-ready Assisting with other front-of-house responsibilities when needed What We're Looking For Friendly, outgoing, and guest-focused personality Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods Comfortable multitasking and making quick decisions Dependable and punctual Team-oriented and willing to assist wherever needed Previous restaurant or customer-service experience preferred, but not required Availability for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts Why Prairie Street Brewing Co.? $15 per hour Part-time scheduling Shift meals and employee discounts Fast-paced, team-oriented environment Opportunity to gain restaurant experience and grow into additional front-of-house positions Historic riverfront workplace in downtown Rockford If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and helping create a great first impression for guests, we want to hear from you.
