Role Overview Our Workshop Hosts are the heart of the Blank Mason experience. They guide guests through candle and perfume workshops, share their fragrance knowledge, and make every visit feel special. As a Lead Workshop Host , you'll do all of that and also lead the floor during your shifts. You'll open and close the store, support your fellow Hosts, and keep workshops and retail running smoothly when the Store Manager isn't on site. Key Responsibilities Store Leadership & Keyholder Duties Execute opening and closing procedures independently Maintain store standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety Serve as acting floor lead when the Store Manager is not present Keep operations running smoothly during workshops and retail hours Guest Experience & Workshop Hosting Welcome guests and introduce them to the Blank Mason experience Host candle-making and perfume-creation workshops for walk-ins, groups, and private parties Offer scent recommendations and help guests with fragrance blending Create a warm, engaging, high-energy atmosphere during every session Retail Sales & Merchandising Drive retail sales through product education and thoughtful recommendations Maintain visual merchandising standards and restock displays Support inventory management and product organization Stay current on promotions, seasonal collections, and new launches Team Support Guide and support Workshop Hosts during shifts Help onboard and train new team members Communicate operational needs, guest feedback, and inventory updates to management Qualifications 2+ years of experience in retail, hospitality, or experiential service Keyholder, shift lead, or supervisory experience preferred Confident leading small groups, whether it's a party of 4 or 20 Strong interpersonal and communication skills Passion for creativity, guest service, and brand storytelling Available evenings, weekends, and holidays Why You'll Love It Here Earn tips plus a share of private event service charges, so busy seasons pay off Host hands-on creative workshops, so no two shifts are the same Work in a design-forward experiential retail space Grow with a brand expanding nationally Build real leadership skills on a hospitality-focused team Compensation $12.50/hour base pay (tipped position) Tips from workshops and retail guests Share of service charges from private parties and events Typical total earnings of $15-$27/hour, depending on season and event volume
