The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patrons, responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service within the restaurant. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Manage reservations and maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods. Communicate effectively with the serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Answer phone calls with professionalism, handling inquiries and reservations efficiently. Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall guest experience. Skills Previous Host/Hostess experience is preferred, with a strong background in food service or restaurant environments. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is advantageous. Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is a plus, enhancing guest services capabilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of serving practices and phone etiquette to ensure professional interactions.
