Job Description

This position will serve as the first point of contact for clients being entertained in the Stakes Room. The clientele will vary based on day, ranging from Stakes Horsemen to corporate groups utilizing the space for client hospitality. This room is set as a come-and-go lounge space, and guests will be given credentials to flow freely through the venue as they please throughout the day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES RACING
Stakes Lounge Host Provide a warm welcome and positive experience for all guests hosted in the Stakes Lounge each day. Check-in clients within the Lafayette Room utilizing a Google Sheet and Computer. Distribute credentials to the room along with Paddock passes and branded h ats where applicable. Provide elevated hospitality services to guests within the space including way finding, answering general questions , and help ing to solve problems and issues that arise throughout the day. Due to their location in the foyer of the 4th floor, this position will also act as a guest services resource for those patrons in the vicinity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Equine Industry experience is highly recommended due to the clientele in this space. Must be familiar with the use of computers and applications such as Google Sheets. Knowledge of thoroughbred industry and related events as well as enhanced understanding of Keeneland s mission and core client base is preferred. Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred. Flexibility to adjust to guest preferences and group updates throughout each day.
