Food Services Host Opelousas General Health System - 3.4 Opelousas, LA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Food handling Assisting with meal planning Food preparation for special diets Café experience Food running Patient service Room service tray management Shelf stocking High school diploma or GED Experience working with individuals with specific dietary needs Food delivery Assisting food service staff Dietetics Meal planning Production documentation Entry level Meal assistance Full Job Description Under the general supervision of the Manager of Food and Nutrition Services and/or the Nutrition Care Coordinator, performs essential duties associated with obtaining menu selections from patients and other related duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare patient menus and obtain meal preferences on a daily basis in accordance with diet orders and patient preferences. Prepare, deliver, and retrieve patient trays assistance. Visit patients on a daily basis, assisting with dietary needs. Prepare food items as needed for departmental operation. Replenishes floor stock items on patient units and in the Doctor's Lounge on a daily basis to meet daily demands. Demonstrates proficiency with department related competencies. Maintains patient Likes/Dislikes/Allergies/Preference utilizing Computrition Program. Prepares production sheets as necessary for daily operation. Serve as Departmental Liaison between FANS Mgt and Nursing Units relaying all pertinent information as needed. Helps in other areas of the department, such as cafe, when needed.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED preferred Additional Experience Preferred Course work in Dietetics is a plus.
